Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Collection
Code 3 Collectibles' hand sculpted, hand painted 1/24 scale replica of the Gemini IV Capsule recreates the spacecraft as it appears today at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
Gemini 4 was the second of 10 manned two-person missions. On June 3, 1965, Ed White became the first American to perform an extravehicular activity (EVA) or "spacewalk." During his 20 minutes outside Gemini 4, White remained connected to the spacecraft by the golden "umbilical cord," and he used a hand-held jet thruster to maneuver in space. His crewmate, Jim McDivitt remained inside the vehicle.
Limited to only 3000 pieces, this model features a detailed interior, removable hatches and a display stand.
